In Yamatai, 2-4 players compete against eachother with strategy to build palaces, torii, and personal buildings in this sacred land. The game includes ten numbered action tiles, each showing one or more colored ships, with most of them showing a special action. Players then shuffle the tiles and place them in a row, and reveal the number of tiles equal to the amount of Players + 1. After carefully placing ships on the board, players can either claim resources from land they've touched with new ships, or start building on vacant spaces. After the process of building, collecting resources, and purchasing specialists -- players continue to take turns until a game-ending conditions occurs: when there's no more ships of a color or no more specialists available. After these conditions are met, players can finish the round and rack-up points for the amount of buildings built, specialists hired, and money on-hand. This box-set contains: 1 game board, 41 buildings, 4 player mats, 6 turn-order meeple, 80 wooden boats, 10 fleet tiles, 28 building tiles, 7 mountain tiles, 34 culture tokens, 8 sacred ground tokens, 18 specialist tiles, 73 coins, 24 prestige point tokens, and 1 rulebook.
